Born: 1947 Endicott, NY and for the past forty years - Thomaston, Maine
Artist Statement The works are often symmetrical, balancing color, shape, placement and pattern. In addition to traditional paint on canvas since 1978 I have also worked digitally. The end results become archival prints on paper, canvas or aluminum. The digital files often become sketches or inspiration for paintings. I tend to work concepts into collective bodies. I mix disciplines. Images can be reconfigured as smaller works or enlarged to several feet. The color palette can be revised for sight specific demands. For over forty years I have also spent much energy as a freelance designer. I have created collections of contract fabrics (Knoll, HBF, etc), custom hand knotted rugs made in Nepal, India, China as well as menswear, bedding etc. Now I am putting most of my creative energy back to my fine art painting and printmaking roots.
